They drag various detritus, including dead colony members out and drop it on the ground in front of the hive. This is important to keep the colony healthy. Sara took a little video last week.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Our bees in February\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mn3qnU18a1Q?wmode=transparent&amp;rel=0&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Today, I saw some workers that were busy collecting pollen.\u00a0They visit snow drops, the only flowers that\u00a0they can find at this time\u00a0in our garden. I have seen flowering witch hazel nearby, but these plants are pollinated by moths. Winter aconites are still small buds.
